Ok. We know we said we couldn’t restore focus to an out-of-focus image… We are not magicians…
But we always give our best and this job wasn’t as irreparable as it sounds.
The cameraman focused the lens while he was on the wide shot. And during the interview he kept pulling in with the zoom in each question. As it turns out, the focus was slightly behind. The ears are crisp, the face not so much. It’s beetwen soft-focused and out of focus.
What we achieved is not a real focus, but some appearance of focus.
It’s a sharpen effect plus some masks, plus some tracking, plus squinting our eyes.
